School photos made easy.

Photo day should be simple for families and fun for kids. Everything from viewing to ordering happens online, so once galleries are ready, your only job is to scroll through your child’s images and choose the photos you love.

Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how photo day works and what to expect.

A relaxed, fun photo experience

Every child comes to photo day a little differently. Some are ready to smile right away, and others take a minute to warm up. Don’t worry, I’m ready for anything!

I guide students with patience, encouragement, and a bit of silliness along the way. When kids feel comfortable, their real personalities start to shine through, and those genuine smiles are always the ones families love most.

How ordering works

Ordering photos is designed to be quick and straightforward.

On photo day, each student is photographed using a unique QR code that automatically creates their own private gallery. That code goes home with your child so you can easily access their images.

On photo day:

  • Scan your child’s QR code and enter your email to be notified when the gallery opens

When galleries are available:

  • Access your child’s gallery using the QR code, or the link in your notification email

  • Choose your favourite images and products

  • Place your order online

Your photos are then printed and delivered to the school, free of charge. Digital files are available for download right after purchase.

What should my child wear?

The most important thing is that your child feels comfortable and confident. Photo day is out of the usual routine, and younger children especially can be extra uncomfortable with wearing something that’s more formal than usual.

If your child is ready for a fashionable moment, then go for it! If you’ve got a cute fancy outfit that your child is happy to wear, I’m happy to photograph them in it! If they’d rather wear an everyday favourite, their smile will be just as adorable.

My best tip is to choose a colour that separates them from the backdrop and suits their hair and skin tone. Then, if you can, avoid any large images or text that compete with your child’s face for attention in the photo.

A few simple tips to help kids look their best:

  • Bright colours look great against a neutral backdrop.

  • Solid colours or patterns can look great! Plaids, stripes, florals, unicorns - all are welcome.

  • Avoid large logos, graphic tees, or character faces to keep the focus on your child’s smile.

  • The best choice is something your child feels good wearing. If that means a t-rex is grinning in the photo with your child, then so be it!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your child will bring home a unique QR code that will take you directly to their gallery. Be sure to enter your email by visiting the linked website, so you'll be notified when their photos are ready!

  • These portraits are all about kids being themselves, and some days, they're just not feeling smiley! Each child is encouraged to laugh, wiggle, and relax so they can be themselves. A light and fun experience with no pressure to "say cheese" leads to photos that you're proud to show off. Ideally, you'll see your child's personality come shining through.

  • Package A allows you to choose multiple poses for a variety of prints. Packages B and C allow you to choose one favourite pose in different print sizes.

  • Many schools are happy to help me coordinate a few sibling shots to add to their galleries. If your school is on board, I will add the sibling photos to your children’s individual galleries free of charge. Check in with your school to find out if they’re on board!

  • Check with your school to see if a make-up day is scheduled.

  • Order before the deadline to have your prints delivered free of charge to the school, and sent home with your child. Orders after the deadline will be subject to a shipping fee, but will be delivered to your home address.
